Come on! Everybody put the books back! Come on, take out the books! It looks like she’s recording. Jamila! Who was writing previously? My voice is gone and I'll let you relax. Why is he not filming us? Why is he not filming us? I'll give only to those who write because... But I've participated already! Let's listen to the story about Ibrahim, peace be upon him. May Allah bless him and grant him peace. What did people worship hundreds of years ago? Origin of our prophet Ibrahim and his life. Let's first talk about the religious beliefs in those times. At that time, because people were ignorant and misguided, they used to look at the six objects in the sky and planets and regarded those planets as deities. Humans were ignorant and were not aware of the existence of the Lord of the Worlds. Is this right or wrong? -What were they worshiping when the Message came? Planets! -Planets. Mercury, Mars and anything they see. Our prophet Ibrahim, pbuh, tried to explain to them... Samar! What's going on? What's the matter? Who is not following? That's it, stop! Miss! Our prophet Ibrahim, pbuh, tried to explain to them that these planets are not divine. Who came to them? Our prophet Ibra? him! Prophet Ibrahim. He told them that it was not possible and that those planets were not divine. Why was it not possible? Who will tell me why? Because they are created, created by the Lord of the Worlds. What is the meaning of the following verse? "In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful". "Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon." "Adore not the sun and the moon, but adore Allah," "Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve." [Qur'an, 41:37] God said... Is there anyone who would pray to the Sun or the Moon? -Who created the Sun and the Moon? -Allah! -Who created the Night? -Allah! -Who created the Day? -Allah! Our prophet Ibrahim was... Father of Ibrahim, pbuh, used to worship idols. -Basically, who did Ibrahim's father worship? -Allah? -Idols! -Is that correct or not? -No! That is why Ibrahim, pbuh, first started to preach to his father. -We put our relatives first when it comes to inviting them to Islam, right or not? -There is no god but Allah! Those close to us come first, is that correct or not? Our prophet Ibrahim started... What a cutie! He was inviting his father to Islam because nobody wants to see a person he or she loves go to Hell. Would you like anybody you love to enter the Eternal Fire or would you try to show them a way to salvation? -Show them the way! -You are scared for these people, am I right or not? You love your mom and you want her to go to Heaven. So you would tell her, "Mom, why don't you pray?", right? You feel concerned for the people you love. Idolatry. Let's finish up this topic. What's going on? So, father of Ibrahim, pbuh, was one of the idol worshipers and that is why he started preaching to his father. -Because his father was worshiping who? -The idols! And Ibrahim's father, once again, was an idol worshiper. I'll relate this story to you. Do you remember that story when there was a festival devoted to one of their gods? Everybody got together and went to offer prayers to that god and brought him food for lunch and dinner. -Who did not go with them? Our prophet... -Ibrahim! They took whatever they brought with them and went to the festival to glorify their idols and gods. But our dear Ibrahim stayed in the village all by himself. If you just knew what he did to them! When he saw that everybody was gone he went to their idol shrine... What did he do to them? Yes! He smashed all of the small idols with an ax and after that he put the ax on the head of the biggest idol.. He placed an ax on top of the strongest one. Then people started returning from the festival, filled with joy, and one of them went to the shrine. He came back with the news saying. that the idols, whom they worshiped and to whom they brought food and whom they took care of, and kept clean and neat, all of them were destroyed. Ibrahim was not there at that moment. "Somebody did not go with us to the festival. Everybody, try to remember who did not go!" "I know who this is! His name is Ibrahim!" "He is the one who did not go to the festival! Bring him here!" So they summoned our dear Ibrahim... Good job! They asked him, "Do you know who destroyed the idols?" He replied, "Ask the biggest one of them and he will tell you!" "Just think a little bit! These idols don't hurt you nor do they help you." "They could not help themselves. So how do you worship something like that?" He said, "Someone destroyed them all, put an ax on the head of the biggest idol and the biggest one of them, the one you love so much, did not even say a thing." "These idols are not able to harm or help. They don't hurt and don't help." "So how do you worship them?" "If you request something from them now, do you think these idols are going to answer you?" Is what I am saying correct, Ibrahim? Will the idols do anything to you? No! Can idols do anything for you? -Unbelievers! They are the ones who know, not me. -At that point they realized that he was making fun of them.
