Welcome to Workstyle Freestyle with me, Alex Hirst.
And with me, Lizzie Penny!
Today I'm doing lunges!
Because we are talking about our World 365 initiative,
which is essentially our efforts as a Hoxby community
to exercise our way around the world in 365 days.
It's part of our mental health cause because we know that
exercise is linked to improved mental health, for example
150 minutes of exercise each week leads to a
31% reduced chance of depression, according to the NHS.
It is genuinely better for your mental health.
And it's well worth the embarrassment of wearing tight-fitting clothing like this
particularly on video...
It also... Ooooh...
It is also great for productivity, it is said to
increase productivity by 21%, apparently, according to
Bristol University. And also motivation, by 41%.
So it's good for business as well as being good for mental health.
I can vouch for that. I swim three times a week without fail.
How are we getting along, Alex?
Well at the half-way stage through the year, so the end of June, we were
almost exactly half way around the world, so we are currently tracking
bang on schedule.
But there are some tricky weeks and months ahead in the Northern Hemisphere
so we will see how the guys get on.
