2782 Caring for you - An introduction to our approach
0 (0 Likes / 0 Dislikes)
There are many people in
our community needing care
and support to help them
in their daily lives.
You may be somebody
who needs support,
or you may be a carer;
if so, we want to make sure
you know about our approach
and what you can expect from us.
At the heart of our approach is a belief
that we should promote
the well-being of people
needing care and support.
We can only do this by putting you
at the centre of the care
and support we provide,
understanding your needs,
and making sure you are fully involved.
We also believe that it is important
to prevent people’s needs escalating
unnecessarily by investing
in community resources
and facilities so that we can delay,
or even prevent the need for support.
We are also committed to
supporting unpaid carers,
often a family member or friend
so that they are better able to help.
So that we can do these things,
we are putting in place
a range of approaches and services
to benefit the whole community
with a focus on well-being,
workforce development
and giving people more choice.
We will also ensure that you have
easy access to the information
and advice you need to help you
understand your rights
and how you can access
the support available to you.
These services and rights include
assessments of the support you need,
providing people to help you
get the care you need,
and ensuring everyone is supported
to stay safe and free from abuse.
