I'm working with She Goat
on consulting around access
on their show "The Undefinable".
I've been working with them for about six months now
on some of the R&D
and developing the show
coming on to rehearsals and watching them
basically re-enact parts of the show
and then talking with them about all of the aspects
of the visual side of things
and how they can creatively integrate
making those aspects accessible
to audience members like myself
who've got very limited sight.
And we're doing it through a range of things
through, I guess mainly
audio description but delivered in a live context on stage
and that being very much part of the aesthetics
of what they're producing
and also through sound
and also where they're positioned on stage
it's been a really exciting process.
Visually Impaired audiences can expect
a really interesting cornucopia
of performance from Shamira and Eugénie
and upmost, the whole show
we've worked on to make it accessible
for people with different degrees of sight loss
and we're really excited about the creative way that we've integrated
those techniques for audiences who are visually impaired
So come along and see it!
It's gonna be a great Christmas treat!
