TERUMAH

"And they shall take unto Me Terumah," meaning an offering.
An offering. 'Cause we know that, or we have heard from past, from past lectures,
that "Terumah" comes from the word "tarum hey", to raise the hey.
To raise the consciousness of Malchut.
Today's explanation stretches that ideia.
By this, we learn "tarum hey",
meaning the world of the desire to receive for the self alone,
This kind of negative consciousness that exists in the world of action,
in our world, "tarum", we are to raise it. Raise our consciousness.
When we raise our [consciousness], instead of thinking only of yourself,
Be like Zeir Anpin. Zeir Anpin considers others.
That's God. God can think outside of Himself.
A human being instinctively does not think outside of himself.
He thinks what his desires are, what his necessities require.
And, therefore, he needs food, he goes buy his food,
he needs clothing, whatever his needs are
generally these are his necessities, his needs is what governs actions
why does someone go to work? why does someone have a business?
Because he needs money to purchase the necessities of life.
So almost everything around us is governed by that singular idea, me.
Along comes the Torah says "vayehu l'terumah", and we say "tarum hey",
raise, raise, raise that "hey".
Raise our consciousness.
To raise our consciousness to one of sharing!
To one of sharing!
