[Advice for Bridesmaids from a Professional Bridesmaid]
If you don't want to do it, you don't have the time to do it,
or if you're just not feeling it,
say no.
Set a budget early on,
and make sure you tell the bride exactly how much you can spend,
and what you cannot afford to do.
Set travel deals early on
so you're not faced with hefty last minute fees
on travel and hotels for the wedding.
If you want to save money as a bridesmaid,
find discounts on the gifts that you buy her,
do your own hair and makeup, and see if you can get
your bridesmaids dress
used, or rent one.
Don't go crazy with the gifts.
Buy something off the registry or give as much as you can,
but don't follow any rules about how much you should give
as a wedding gift.
When you're faced with a bridezilla, it's important to just remain calm
and bring her back down to earth.
If something is bothering you or you're not happy about something,
turn to the Maid of Honor rather than stressing out the bride.
Go with the flow!
Remember, it's not your
wedding, you're there
to support your friend on her big day.
