While I was reading The Guardian this morning, I saw an article that asked, “Is smoother skin worth more than having potable water or edible fish?”
This question made me feel guilty. I did not know that the products I use to have this smooth skin contained microbeads.
Microbeads are poisonous.
Microbeads often act like tiny sponges; they absorb other chemicals. Little fish eat them and then we eat the little fish.
Thankfully, there are some companies that make beauty products without microbeads now.
They use natural ingredients like papaya and pineapple.
While on the topic, I would like to congratulate the US on the federal ban of microbeads. I’m impressed!
