Hello. We appreciate that being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes can be a bit of a shock, and that you may have lots of questions and be looking for information to help you to understand the implications and the changes that you may need to make to your life. We have therefore created a package of support and information that you can rely on and trust, that goes alongside the personal guidance that you receive from your healthcare professionals.  All the resources that we provide will highlight the key issues that you need to consider, as well as the important actions that you need to take so that you can self-manage your diabetes and effectively look after your health.  One of the first things you need to do following your diagnosis is to book your place on one of our Healthy Living Programmes. It is essential that you attend the sessions as they form a key part of your diabetes care, and will help to reassure you and encourage you to identify priorities.  Attending the programme will ensure you receive the best possible advice to help to manage your diabetes and prevent long-term complications.  The programme covers topics such as what diabetes is, and how it will affect you, the lifestyle changes you will need to make, the health checks that you need to attend, and much more.  You will also have the chance to meet other people who have recently been diagnosed with diabetes. Being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes means that looking after your health has become even more important, so please contact us on this number so that you can book your place at a session near to you. Thank you.
