[♫ howdini: get yourself a guru ♫] Hey, I'm Joe. You can make a lot of great videos all by yourself using a camera like this little guy. I'm here today to talk to you guys about how to make one of your videos go viral. [♫ dramatic piano music ♫] So you want to make a viral-- [♫ dramatic piano music ♫]. Hmmph. So you want to make a viral-- [♫ dramatic piano music ♫]. Sigh. So you want to make a video that goes viral. Oh. Okay. [♫ dramatic piano music ♫] First things first. You can never tell what's going to go viral. [♫ dramatic piano music ♫] But let's talk about some of the things you can do to make your video appeal to everybody. The main thing you need to remember is to be creative. Do something that you're good at, like play guitar. [strums guitar] Or sing a song. Or finish a puzzle really fast. Make sure it looks great. Shoot in HD to get the best details. You don't want your audience to miss a thing. And you're going to want to make your video in a way that appeals to everybody. Think about the videos that you pass along to your friends--like this one. ♫ Chocolate rain...forecast to be falling yesterday. ♫ It's going to be different for everybody, so do what you're best at doing. In my case, I like making stop-motion videos. Blah. Blah blah. Blah blah blah. [♫ techno music ♫] Now that your video is done, the best site to upload to is YouTube if you want a lot of people to see it. And once it's on there, you can start promoting it. One good way to spread your video around is to contact relevant blogs. Make sure you take some still images while you're filming to send along with your video. People like to see what goes on behind the scenes. Now ask your friends to retweet or hit "thumbs up" on facebook. This is going to help your video go viral. And that's it. You're one step closer to having a viral [♫ dramatic piano music ♫] video. Thanks for watching. Make sure to check out all my videos on sony.com/howdini.
