The Young Shaman Perspective Part 2/5

When a string of nucleotides is successfully translated the nucleotides are then divided into groups of three to form codons. This is equivalent to the Yin/Yang coding and the composition of hexagrams in the I Ching The genetic code and the I Ching are both applications of the binary code. The 64 hexagrams reveal the patterns of psychological changes inside the mind and the 64 codons form the structure of physiological changes inside the body. Each codon represents 1 of 22 Amino Acids. Amino Acid sequences create the proteins that make up our bodies. Most people today have no problem putting their trust in scientists who say that they are specialized in genetic research. But if you'd ask the same people to toss coins and expect to receive an accurate advice from an ancient book they'll probably think that something is wrong with you. And if you then tell them that Jewish rabbis used the same fundamental code to create artificial creatures from clay, hundreds or thousands of years ago they'll probably want to end the conversation. Each cell in the body contains 22 pairs of chromosomes. 22 from the mother and 22 from the father. + 1 pair of sex chromosomes that determines our gender. The Hebrew Sepher Yetzirah, also known as the Book of Creation is the earliest known work of Hebrew magic tradition. The origin of the text is unknown but dates back at least 2000 years. It describes how the Creator used the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet to create the universe and all the living things in it. Those who understand and use this text can create living creatures by arranging the letters into complementary parallel chains. This is equivalent to the DNA structure of the genetic code. It became a tradition that the 22 trump cards of the Tarot major Arcana correspond with the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. The Tarot is a divination system that came out of ancient Egypt. It has complementary oracular powers to the I Ching. Whereas the I Ching describes the binary progression of psychological changes through time, The Tarot describes the human characters that can be associated with these changes. Just as there are 22 pairs of chromosomes that balance out the genetic information in the body, so too can the 22 trump cards of the Tarot be reversed to represent their opposite energy. The 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet together with the numbers 1 to 10 are used to form the Sephiroth, or the Tree of Life which is a symbolic pattern that is meant to reveal the 22 karmic life paths that one must go through in order to attain wisdom. "Aleph" The path between the source and the will to force. "Beth": The path between the source and the will to form. "Gimel": The path between the source and healing and redemption. "Daleth": The path between the will to force and the will to form. "He": The path between the will to form and healing and redemption. "Vav": The path between the will to form and the framework of manifestation. "Zayin": The path between the will to force and healing and redemption. "Heth": The path between the will to force and the eliminator of the useless. "Teth": The path between the framework of manifestation and the eliminator of the useless. "Yod": The path between the framework of manifestation and healing and redemption. "Kaph" The path between the framework of manifestation and the Arts. "Lamed": The path between the eliminator of the useless and healing and redemption. "Mem": The path between the eliminator of the useless and the sciences. "Nun": The path between healing and redemption and the Arts. "Samekh": The path between healing and redemption and the psychic energy underlying matter. "Ayin": The path between healing and redemption and the sciences. "Pe": The path between the Arts and the sciences. "Sadhe": The path between the Arts and the psychic energy underlying matter. "Qoph": The path between the Arts and the material world. "Resh": The path between the sciences and the psychic energy underlying matter. "Shin": The path between science and the material world. "Tav": The path between psychic energy underlying matter and the material world. In relation to the Tree of Life the Sepher Yetzirah speaks of 231 gates through which the universe was created. By placing the 22 letters in a circle and connecting them with straight lines a geometric shape of 231 lines emerges representing the gateways of Creation. Since the 1980's physicists have begun to postulate a possible theory of everything. This theory, also known as the final theory, should be able to unite gravity with the other fundamental forces of nature. Recently this theory was brought into a clearer perspective with a new pattern called E8. It is a geometric shape that consists of 248 points on which elementary particles are placed. Its eventual shape closely resembles the 231 gates pattern, which is at least 2000 years old. In the E8 triangles represent various quarks and leptons. Particles that carry a force are depicted by circles. And finally, the relationship between gravity and the electroweak force is clarified with star-like patterns. The E8 and the 231 gates form a beautiful example of how modern science and ancient science are rapidly beginning to merge. From both perspectives the geometric shapes are combining the pure feminine circles with the straight masculine lines to illustrate the structure of the universe. In geometry there are only 5 known shapes, or polyhedrons with equal-sized legs and angles that can be inscribed inside a sphere. These are known as the 5 Platonic solids. Although they have been discovered at least a thousand years before Plato it was he who theorized them as representations of the classical elements. The Tetrahedron represented fire. The Hexahedron or cube represented earth. The Octahedron air. The Icosahedron water. And the Dodecahedron represented the fifth element the material of the universe: Ether. Plato postulated that the Dodecahedron existed around the earth as a geometric consciousness grid of energy lines. He meant to explain in geometric terms what the sphere of human thought the collective unconscious would look like. And the basic structure of this grid, he said was in the evolutionary process of becoming a synthesis of all the five solids. To most people none of this ancient knowledge seems to be valuable anymore. Yet the social systems that we're used to today were all more or less invented by Plato and his colleagues. If there's one thing we still care about when it comes to the four elements it is our fear that they will turn against us because we have so drastically abused them in the last century. However, by doing so we have also paved the way for the materialization of the fifth element: Ether. The Internet. the new spiritual container of the earth. If Plato would've known this he would've probably said that we live in the most important time in history.
