Munkh-Erdene Chuluunbat studied zither at Mongolian Music and Dance Secondary School under the guidance of professor Narantuya.Z in 1988-1994. Besides teaching at Mongolian Music and Dance Secondary School, she worked as a zither player in Mongolian Horse Head Fiddle Ensemble and as a musician of Mongolian National Song and Dance Ensemble when she was a graduate student.
Tumen Ekh is the name of a revered traditional long song that opens ceremonies and festivals. Tumen Ekh means 'leader of ten thousand'. Tumen Ekh is the title bestowed upon the fastest race horse in Mongolia, a symbol of power and speed. The Tumen Ekh ensemble was founded in 1989. The ensemble's goal is to present a rare selection of ancient Mongolian performing arts and culture to local and international audiences, particularly younger generations. The ensemble comprises artists who perform all types of Mongolian song, music and dance.

Formed in 2002, Altan Urag is an ethnic folk rock band whose music fuses traditional Mongolia sounds with contemporary influences. The name Altan Urag can be loosely translated as "Kin of the Khan" or "Golden Lineage", referring to Ghengis Khan and his ancestors. The band's vision is both to promote Mongolian culture to the world and to introduce traditional music to the young people of their country. The band's seven members are skillful players of traditional instruments: morin khuur (horse-head fiddle), ikh khuur (grand horse-head fiddle), bishuur (traditional horn), and yochin (hammered dulcimer), and percussion. The vocalists are throat and long song singers and have all been trained in traditional and classical Mongolian music. Altag Urag performed on the soundtrack of Mongol.
Quiza is a prominent Mongolian hip hop artist who blends modern Mongolian music with traditional Mongolian themes. He was featured in the Mongolian Bling hip hop documentary produced by Benj Binks and will be performing live at TEDxUlaanbaatar.
Undraa Agvaanluvsan is an Ambassador-at-large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia.
She was born in 1973. She graduated with bachelors and masters degrees in theoretical physics from the National University of Mongolia in 1995, following which she completed a diploma course in High Energy Physics at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics in Trieste, Italy. She obtained a PhD in nuclear physics from North Carolina State University, USA in 2002. Dr. Undraa worked at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, USA for several years and has published extensively in nuclear science journals.
Ganhuyag started his career at the Mongolian Stock Exchange as a floor supervisor in 1991 and moved on to become engaged in the family trading business a year later. He joined the Central Bank's Supervision Division after graduating from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 1997. He was hired by UNDP's MicroStart Pilot Project in 1998, initially as a Finance Manager and then Operations Manager before becoming the Executive Director of Mongolia's first non-bank financial company X.A.C. (Golden Fund for Development). In 1999. X.A.C. subsequently merged with USAID funded Goviin Ekhlel (GobiStart) LLC to form XacBank. He held the position of the CEO of XacBank from the founding until 2009.
Born and raised in Huvsgul Aimag, Mrs. Oyungerel is widely known in Mongolia as a public speaker, author, and passionate advocate for democracy. Mrs. Oyungerel has earned degrees in economic planning, international business, and is also a graduate of Stanford University majoring in international policy studies.
Dr. Jantsannorov Natsag has been a key part of Mongolian music and culture for more than 40 years. He is well known as one of Mongolia’s finest composers and has composed nearly 300 works that including two ballets, two symphonies, six concertos, oratorios, cantatas, chamber music, and about 300 songs. He has also composed soundtracks and music for over 30 films including The Queen Mandukhai, The Wise, and Under the Power of Eternal Heaven (about Chinggis Khaan).
Beginning as a geologist, Mrs. Oyun Sanjaasuren received her BA and M.Sc from Czechoslovakia and her Ph.D from Cambridge in England. She has worked on projects involving both Rio Tinto and the UNDP.
Mrs. Oyun has been a Member of Parliament of Mongolia continuously from 1998 until the present.
She was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2008 and has been a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum since 2003. She is the only female party leader in Mongolia and ranks among the top ten most popular politicians in the country. She entered politics in 1998 to carry on the plans of her brother, Zorig, for political and economic reform after his assassination.
