Hey guys Kusha here with Exerscribe TV and today I want to talk to you about why you cannot compare yourself to others. So, one of my mentors, he actually gave me some really good wisdom, we were talking about, you know, where I was kinda at and what I wanted to accomplish. You know, all of my goals, and where I wanted to be and what not. And he gave me some good perspective, He said, "Kusha, you can't compare yourself to others, because the truth to the fact is even if you were to spend time and hangout and follow a billionaire or some really successful person. You will not, no matter what, become as successful as them. Just by doing that." And the reason being is that it's like Nature vs. Nurture. You know, you have to be able to go through your own journey. When we talk about, you know, success with fitness and reaching your goals. You have to think about this as your journey. So when you compare yourself to other people and what they've accomplished. In whatever amount of time they've accomplished that in. All that is going to do is really distract you and deter you from your journey. So, what you need to do is I want you to focus. Stay focused on your specific journey. Don't compare your circumstances or your capabilities to anybody else. And just keep chipping away. Because, eventually if you stick with it and you have faith, you will see results. It's just a matter of time. So one example when you're applying it to fat loss or muscle gain. It kinda goes back to that habits idea, if you can just focus on what your specific lifestyle or body type or diet requires and add one specific habit change that will work for you Like for me, for example, just adding six grams of fish oil per day made a big difference for me, in terms of fat metabolism and muscle gain. So you have to find out what's the best thing that you need right now and implement that everyday for at least the next two-weeks before you move on to the next habit. Don't try and overhaul your entire lifestyle and your behaviors based on what somebody else is doing, because that won't fit. That's like putting a square peg in a round hole. You need to find out what fits for you in your lifestyle. So find out what that one habit change is. And go after that today. So there you have it.
