When others are confused she will know what to do, with her loving heart and compassion too. Go Shelly....Gooo Go Shelly(Go Shelly) Go Shellyyyy.....She's a great little girl, Go Shellyyy.....One of the biggest hearts in the world, Go Shellyyyy....She always knows what to do.... And that's bringing...bringing LOVE to you!!! Welcome to Shelly's Adventures!!! Hello, my name is Shelly and this is a presentation for my idea for a children's cartoon series featuring me, Shelly the Interpreter! " Shelly the Interpreter gives its audience an introduction into American Sign Language by showing how my family, friends, and I deal with normal everyday situations. The show makes it easy for it's viewers to learn words in American Sign Language as well as traditional subjects such as the alphabet, colors, and counting. As the viewer, you will be introduced to multiculturalism, different life styles, and languages! I hope you enjoy! I am 7 years old. My first language is American Sign Language. I am very smart, friendly, and a quick thinker. Because my father is Deaf, I am his interpreter. I teach her brother Kj, his ABC's, colors, and how to count. I love solving problems and helping out others when I can. I’ve heard that I am very inquisitive. I have a close bond with my family and friends. My favorite foods are: Pizza, hamburger, and fruit. I love singing and teaching you the audience ASL. There isn’t a problem that I can’t solve and if I can’t I ask you the audience for help. Throughout the show, I help all of her friends with their weaknesses. My Dad is Deaf. He taught both Kj and I ASL. Dad has a hard time communicating with the hearing world so he relies heavily on me to interpret for him. I am is his voice whenever we are out together or if someone comes to our home. My Dad bags groceries at a local meat market. Everyone in town knows that he is Deaf. My dad works hard to provide for our family, who he loves very much. My dad always tells me how proud of me he is. My dad enjoys watching sports on television in his spare time. KJ is my little brother. He is a typical 2 year old. He is a busy body who is in the terrible two phase. Kj finds himself in some sort of trouble for being selfish or because of his bad attitude. He is Deaf but has a huge sign language vocabulary. Using ASL is his main method of communicating with Dad and I. My brother loves me so much but he always wants to follow me around I guess it's because I am his role model. Some of Kj's favorite words are: Milk, pizza, cookie, please, and I love you! Maria is my bestfriend. She recently learned English and her parents only speak Spanish. The only time that she is around English is when she is at school or around Me and our friends. Maria is having a hard time adjusting to English but using ASL makes it easier for her. Maria learns a lot of English and sign language by hanging out with me. Maria brings Spanish to the show! She not only learns from me, but she also teaches our friends and I Spanish from time to time. Her favorite hobby is soccer. Maria lacks confidence and has a tendency to give up easily. Kasey is another one of my close friends. Kasey is a big jokester. He makes a lot of funny facial expressions. Kasey has selective hearing. Kasey doesn't have many friends because kids act differently towards him when they see that he wears a hearing aid in one of his ears. Kasey doesn’t like being home because he is the only child and he gets lonely very easily. Kasey loves attention. He feels comfortable whenever he is at my house. Kasey sometimes, uses “wearing an hearing aid” to his advantage. He loves playing football and basketball. Kasey is a sore loser though and has a tendency to fabricate the truth sometimes. Amber is another one of my best friends. Both of Amber's parents work at a hospital. Amber spends a lot of time at my house when her parents are not at home. Amber also enjoys spending time at the hospital, playing, and reading to sick children. She is very competitive and never thinks that she is wrong. Whenever she gets excited, she kind of stutters. Mrs. G is our 1st grade teacher. We all look up to Mrs. G as a role model because she is very wise. She is also a very goofy teacher! Bruno is the lovable and energetic family dog. He loves to run and play. Bruno also understands ASL! Together, my friends, family, and I want to help educate children and parents all across North America about ASL, traditional subjects,

,and life situations!(theme song starts in background) Thank you very much for viewing my presentation on "Shelly the Interpreter" I hope that you enjoyed it! I look forward to hearing from you soon.... Go Shelly....Goooo Go Shelly(Go Shelly). There's no test too great that she can't solve, she won't disappoint she can do it all. When others are confused she will know what to do, with her loving heart and compassion too. Go Shelly....Gooo Go Shelly(Go Shelly)
