Sure I had a choice...
I could have just stayed and not left Korea...
I really didn't feel like going. However...
my entire family was leaving and it would've been difficult to live by myself Korea since I was only 22.
I would have had to sustain myself, visit my family and I would've generally felt very lonely
I went back and forth on the issue
however
even if I had my disagreements with my family and we sometimes fought
I eventually decided it was worth it
so I left my friends and... everything else in Korea as well
such as...
my memories, my friends, all my playgrounds, nightclubs, everything
I threw away all of those things and I pretty much had to come to America.
Of course, I was worried for my future and I was scared
although I had a basic understanding of English, I couldn't speak it very well so I was scared.
But since my family was going, it's not like I could just rent a room by myself and stay in Korea.
So I said "Okay, let's go".
I couldn't help but come.
