Data & Tech in Energy

This is an exciting and challenging time to be involved
in the energy industry.
The electricity system requires rapid decarbonisation, decentralisation,
increased flexibility and resilience.
The application of data and cutting edge technology
will be absolutely crucial to achieving these ends.
These are the issues we're hearing about at industry events
and from our clients.
But one thing there's been very little clarity around is the legal issues
arising in connection with these technologies.
That's exactly what we're going to be talking about at our
seminar in January.
At Clyde & Co we've been increasingly advising on legal issues
arising in connection with open access data, data sharing contracts,
smart contracts and blockchain, artificial intelligence
and the Internet of Things.
At our event, our legal experts are going to be joined by a fantastic
line-up of industry experts who are going to share their views
and different perspectives.
My partners and I are looking forward to what's going to be a very
interesting, informative and practical session.
We'd be delighted to welcome anybody with an interest
in these issues to join us.
