John Glen visits Downton distillery

It's great to be here at the Downton distillery this afternoon Seeing the amazing work with the Explorer Gin brand that he's created over the last few years It's been an amazing success story It's just one example of the phenomenal success of gin production in this country over the last few years That's been helped significantly by the decision we took as a government to freeze the duty on spirits and on gin and I hope that's going to stimulate more businesses like this to continue to grow, contribute to our economy and overall tax revenues but also, actually, local jobs, up and down this country
