>> Hello, welcome to this module's case study. In this module, we are focusing on some of the pitfalls of dieting, connections between diets and emotional eating, and how you can help clients find their own bio-individual nourishing middle ground food relationships. We're back to Renée this week. Let's start with a recap that relates to this week's module. Renée came to you for coaching around weight loss. Growing up, she received negative comments from her peers about her body. Her weight negatively affects her self-esteem. She has tried many diets and cleanses throughout her life, but they don't last long, and she usually ends up overeating, which creates more stress and low self-esteem. She usually tries diets when she feels bored and needs a project. She feels shame and disappointment in herself due to her "failed diets." She struggles with overeating. She feels stuck in multiple areas of life. Her current eating habits and perceived inability to leave her job make her feel powerless. She feels pressure from the "should" messages she receives in the media. In your Learning Center, you'll see an exercise called Diving Into Diets, Renée's Diving Into Diets exercise is included in the pages following the blank version that you can try for yourself. Using the material from the recap and mock exercise, complete the Case Study Challenge in your Learning Center. If you're feeling brave, take a photo of your completed handout and send it out to the Facebook group so that we can support each other. Until next time.
