How to make restaurant style pasta recipes

[♪upbeat music♪] [howdini - get yourself a guru] [Restaurant Recipe Tips] Dining out is fun but probably not something that you can do every night of the week. [MIchele McAdoo for the Kraft Kitchens] What if you could make the same delicious restaurant style meals at home? Today I'm making two recipes that seem like they come from your favorite restaurant. They are quick and easy and taste amazing. Let's get started. [Capellini Caprese] First, our Capellini Caprese pasta dish. To a large pot of boiling salted water I'm adding half a pound of capellini pasta. You can also use spaghetti for this recipe as well. Let's stir it around. Just follow the directions on the package. Now for our restaurant style sauce. In a large nonstick skillet, add a half cup Kraft Tuscan House Italian Dressing & Marinade. [sizzling] Ooh. Mix in one finely chopped onion. Mix that in. [sizzling] Mmm, it smells amazing. And two cloves of minced garlic on medium high heat. [sizzling] We want this to cook for about two minutes to release all the wonderful flavors. Next I'm adding three cups of halved grape tomatoes. Just add these in. Let this cook about five minutes or until it's heated through. Stir occasionally. You can test your pasta for doneness by pulling a piece out of the water with a pair of tongs. Perfect. I'm going to drain the pasta and then we'll put it right into the pasta bowl. Perfect. And mix in our homemade tomato sauce. Add this in. Mmm, this looks amazing. It smells so good. I'm just going to take my tongs and mix this all in together. You'll impress all your guests. I'm going to add a third cup of finely sliced fresh basil to the dish. You can roll it up if the basil is extra long and just use your kitchen shears to make thin strips. Mmm, the fresh basil smells amazing. Just sprinkle it all over. To top it off, sprinkle one cup of Kraft Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese all over, and it will melt in beautifully into the hot pasta. This dish is sure to impress family and friends alike. Another restaurant style meal I love to prepare is our Fettucini Alfredo with Chicken. [Fettucini Alfredo with Chicken] To make the alfredo sauce, I use Philadelphia Neufchatel Cheese as the base for the Parmesan flavored cheese sauce. To finish it off, just sprinkle the dish with some Kraft 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese and some chopped fresh parsley. In just minutes, your family kitchen meals can be as sophisticated as your favorite restaurant's recipes. Eating at home never tasted so good. [chimes jingling] []
