When I think of the word ‘adore’ I think of fans at a football stadium chanting the name of their favourite player. I think of crowds in a music concert adoring and praising the person that they've all gathered to see, sometimes even in unison. A few years ago, I went to see one of my favorite ever performers at a massive arena near where I live. It was amazing and I was in awe of the performer. Around me were thousands of people shouting, singing out the songs, even some people were crying because they were so overwhelmed about the person that they've gather to see. But I remember reflecting a few days after that concert. Do I adore God in the same way that I showed adoration for that performer on stage? Because God, he's the King of Kings, He's the King of Kings, He's the Lord of Lords, He is the universe maker and the humankind creator. Yet do I show Him that I adore Him and it was a challenge for me and so now when I pray I try and use words to express my adoration, my praise. I put on my favourite song and I sing out worship and I sing out praises to God When I walk around the area in which I live and see the beautiful countryside, I adore the God that created it. When I look up into the night sky on a clear night what I can see all of the stars, I remember the person who put them there and the God that created the universe. So want to challenge you today to adore and to praise the God that created you, that made a way for us to have a relationship with God. I am not ashamed to praise my God for who He is, what He’s created, what He’s done in my own personal life. So let's have passion when we praise God and adore Him for all that He has done.
