>> Hi, again. Melissa here. Today, we're going to be talking about how to coach your clients through perceptions and changing the way that they see and experience so that you can actually create true transformation. The key to healing in a client is through changing their experience of the event. So think about this. The event is neutral. It is your response that creates your outcome. So if I think about it like this, my event of being raped or somebody being raped isn't a neutral event. There's been millions of women all over the world, actually 120 million, as a matter of fact, if you want to know the statistics, and the response is creating the outcome. My original response created me into doing drugs and alcohol and eating disorders, and then when I went through and started to heal and changed my perception, when I got to the gratitude through the trauma, what happened is I changed my outcome and I instead built an international organization that actually helps with healing. So what if you could help your clients to change their response to their event or to something in their life that has created a challenge or a problem. So I had a client that I've worked with back in 2012 when I was still health coaching after I had graduated from IIN, and she had a thyroid condition. And so I was working with her through all of this. We were doing all of the work that I learned from IIN, the health work, and all these things and she was starting to get better but she refused to take medication. And she goes to see her doctor and doctor is like, "Still you have hypothyroidism, you still have hypothyroidism." And we went in and started to work on the energetics to work on the story behind the thyroid to get the message, the masterpiece message from what was actually happening. I used my intuitive intelligence process to get into the thyroid. Within three months, she had gone back to the doctor and the doctor is like, "I don't know what you did, but you no longer have a thyroid condition." So what if you could get your clients to change the response that they have to an event. It can be a disease, it can be weight, it can be trauma, it can be something that was simple that you don't even know it's holding that's a pattern in their life and if you can change their response. So what do we know about the experience of perception or reality? Well, this is based on some of the work that I do with quantum physics and neuroscience. And we understand that we do not respond to reality, but rather our interpretation of reality. So how you focus your attention affects your perceptions? When you have an idea in your mind, you tend to look for evidence that supports that idea and not pay attention to the evidence that says that the idea isn't accurate. This is called the confirmation bias. So if you believe you're lucky whenever you wear your red sweat shirts, then you're likely to focus on the times that it is true and discount the times you were lucky when you weren't wearing the shirt or when you're lucky when you win when not wearing the shirt. You tend to look for and pay attention to the evidence that supports your beliefs. The next thing that quantum physics says also is that nothing exists until we observe it, and everything we observe is affected by the observer. Thereby, meaning that your perception of your client will actually affect your client. So one of the most important part is the self-healing is a must and precondition to working with others, and also your perception that your clients perceptions will affect everything. So if you say that the sky is blue but your clients think that the sky is pink, it's going to change the way that they look at things. If I believe that medicine is going to help me to heal and I don't believe that eating food is going to help me heal that, my perception is actually going to change the way that I experience things. Or you have a client that comes to you and has cancer and you believe that the only way for that client to heal is to go to have chemotherapy, then you're not going to put in as enough effort or give them all of the information that they can that will help them also with that healing through food and nutrition, and so that your perception of the event will actually change the way that the client experiences things. They say that this is very true if you go to see the doctor and you have cancer. A doctor that tells you that you have three months to live and you actually believe the doctor, you're more or likely to die in that three months and somebody if that you're not told by the doctor that you have that three months. So really thinking about that perception of what do you believe and how does your affect what you believe actually affects how your client works. Another thing that we want to think about it with perception is that everything in life, every challenge, every good thing has a higher intention for our life and souls purpose. And so when we look at perception or look at our clients lives, how can we look at this and find out the higher intention for our life and our souls purpose. So for me going through the trauma and the experience from my childhood several different times of different things that happened for me by being able to find the good in it and look at the higher intention I was able to actually find my soul's purpose and do something much greater in my life. So what if you can go and look at your clients need to have weight loss or the weight that your client has on or the digestive issues or the hormonal issues, any of those challenges that your clients may be coming up to you with and go deeper and really look at what is this teaching the client, what is it really there, what is the higher learning, the higher lesson, the higher intention. I had a client at one time who had a brain tumor and she had it for many years, she didn't want to get surgery on it. She went through all of these different experiences, and finally after doing a lot of really deep work and getting into the intuitive intelligence, doing meditation and all of these other types of work, she got the message from it that she would not be living the life she was right now, she had decided to quit her job, try something new, had really gone out to live her soul's purpose because she thought she has such a short time to live. So the entire intention of that tumor was for her to actually live a full life. And I think so many times, our diseases or diseases in our lives are teaching us to have that higher that live that fuller life and have that higher intention. And you know what eventually her tumor went away on its own. So pretty cool. Another is that we can change our perception of an experience, thereby changing the actual outcome and creating new realities. Your first perception affects your later perceptions and decisions, and if you change your first perception, you can change your outcome in experience. So think about this if you're a child. When you're a little and you're five years old and you're driving for the first time in a green Impala car and you get into a horrible car accident, your perception of it could be that that was the car, and so you may have a fear forever of green Impala cars. But if you're able to go back and realize that it wasn't the car, it wasn't that situation you can change it, you'll actually be able to change your outcome and your experience. Another really great example is think about when you go to buy a car. When you go to buy a car, the sticker price on the car says, it's $25,000. But the salesman comes up to you and he says, "I have a special deal for you. You know, you spend two or three hours, then you get to drive the car, you love the car but, you know what, let's spend $25,000 on the car." And eventually, you think that you've haggled and worked with them and you get it and then all of the sudden it gets down to $20,000 and you're like, "ah!" $5,000, $20,000. What a bargain. That looks great. And this is what is called an anchoring effect. Your belief in the car is anchored to $25,000, your belief is that green Impalas will cause car accidents anchored. And therefore, you have this set value and so your first perception or you'll always look at cars the same way. But what if you had gone to another car lot and that exact same car, the sticker price on it had been $15,000. All of the sudden it just changes all your perceptions about everything because all of the sudden now $25,000. What are you gonna do? "Oh, no. It's too expensive. I can't believe I paid $20,000 for my car when I could've got it for $15,000." This is what we do all the time with first perceptions. We see one thing and we hold it as truth and believe it is true, but if we can find a way to take that $25,000 car and change your perception of it and give you a $15,000 one or to take a $25,000 car and turn it into a $50,000 one, what if you could do that with your clients and change their belief and their perception about an event or about their body or about a disease so that it actually changes and creates healing. When you create and change, that perception is going to really make a huge difference. We also have the ability to suspend our internal thought process and source answers from somewhere else. This has been known since the beginning of time. Ancient wisdom traditions say and now it's being shown through neuroscience and it's being shown through quantum physics that what we call the witness or being able to suspend our own internal thought processes very possible. You can actually step out of your own mind, your own thought, your own brain and step into somebody else's experience, and by doing that, you can source answers from them, from a situation, from an experience, and thereby look at things completely differently. It has been proven that the way that I see things, my map, my blueprint, is not the same as yours. They're not the same as my mother's, they're not the same as my daughter's, they're not the same as my best friend and yours are not the same as anyone else's either. But wouldn't it be valuable if you could actually get answers from somewhere else besides inside your own head. And we got lots of stuff going on up there, don't we? It'd be great to have somebody else's wisdom at times. So what if you could source an answer, step out of your own internal thought process, step into your best friends, step into Steve Job's mind and think about his, step into your higher self and source answers from there. It's been proven like when you look at a car accident and you see three people see one accident and they all have different stories about what happened, and so you can see immediately the different blueprints and maps that we have in the perception that we do. And so when you have the ability to suspend your own internal thought processes, what has been shown and through ancient wisdom traditions, the Buddha, talks about neuroscience is now showing is that we have the ability to step out to quiet our own mind, to quiet the thought process that we have and actually step into another process into the intuitive intelligence, into the divine matrix, into somewhere else and source answers from somewhere else. You ever woke up in the middle of the night with an inspiration or what you thought was the greatest idea ever and you realize that you're not the alone with the idea. Or you're like, oh, well, I just thought I had that. Or you got an idea five years ago and you say, "I want to create this invention" and you forget about it, you don't do it, and all of a sudden it shows up in the world. How does that happen? It's because we are infinitely connected and you can source those answers, you can step out of your own process and actually connect into that matrix and get the answers that you need. This was such a powerful tool for you to work with your clients. If you can get them to see something from someone else's point of view, have them step inside the disease that they're dealing with or the health issue that they're having and look at it from that perspective, it's going to completely transform their lives and have huge healing. The universe conspires on your behalf, so a lot more good things happen than bad. So we always focus on the bad. Neuroscience has also proven that our brains are focused to go and think about the bad to focus on the negative. Why is that because we have internal processes that have to keep us safe? And so safety is the number one importance of the subconscious mind. It is number one most important. And as long as we're safe, then we're okay. We're not dying. We're alive. But if we really pay attention to everything is going on around us, there's actually on a daily basis a lot more good things that are happening than bad. And so you're always having things inspired on your behalf. If you can imagine an event occurring, your view of the likelihood of that event actually occurring increases. So if you think of a great event and you're like, "Oh, you know, maybe you want to get married someday," or you're already married or you thought about. And you have this beautiful idea of all these wonderful things are going to happen at your wedding, and you see that even the idea of that actually happening are going to increase. But what if you get married and you keep thinking that your spouse is going to cheat on you, you're also increasing your sense of bad things happening and you're increasing the thought or the idea of that event actually happening. So when the universe is conspiring for you, you want to think of all of the good things, keep your focus on that. And so with your clients, the same thing is that you want to happen is you want to get them to focus on the good. This is as the same as the positive thinking or affirmations because I know that that's all really important, but this is actually taking the negative structure and the negative synopses in the brain and the things are happening and creating new positive ones over top of it. Actually, having them focus, you can actually take a negative event in somebody's mind, the perception of a negative event and fill it with positive intention, fill it with new colors, fill it with different ideas and actually take away the sting of the negative event, that's not gratitude again through trauma. There's a way that you can actually step in and allow them to change that perception. You do that by giving your client and having them source, something that makes them really happy in their lives or something that they love or make them picture a cute little bunny with a little tail. And, you know, they got all happy and then you have them bring that into the negative event and overtime with this process of doing that, creating that perception you can change and bring that good into bad. When I was talking earlier, I was talking about a blueprint or a map that we have. We all have an internal map or a blueprint. Every single one of us was born with beliefs, ideas, so just think about it in the world with spirituality or religion today. Depending on where you were born in the world, depends on what your belief system is about the universe or God or religion, right? If you were born in a Muslim country, you're going to have certain beliefs, if you're born in India, you're going to have certain beliefs, if you're born here in the United States depending on what kind of family. So you have an internal map that you were born with whether if you are Jewish, you know, that's an internal map. And I use the religions as an example because it's really easy to understand how you can change an internal map when you think about it with religion. I know I grew up Christian and that was my belief system, that's the way my internal map or blueprint showed me that. I'm now a what I call spiritualist. I believe not the same as Christianity anymore. So I was able to change my internal map, my blueprint, and change it to something different. People all over the world do it all the time when it comes to religion, and you can do it with anything in your life. So your internal map is just a map, it is not the territory. And we don't want to know... You don't want the map with the territory. Think about this. If you go to Detroit and your map is for New York City and you're trying to get somewhere, you're going to be screwed. You're going to be like, where's the tea place. It says, it's right there. My map says, it's right there, and I keep turning down the streets, but I'm in Detroit so it's not getting me anywhere. And so you've got to figure out that you want your map to match your territory, and a lot of times our maps are inaccurate or faulty. And so we want to help your clients to actually change their internal map, their blueprint, and what they believe about themselves to be true and that would change their experience and their perception of life. And so we go in and you work on, I know that a lot of children as they're growing up these days, I think it's starting to get better, but how many of you have ever heard of self-love growing up? No, I mean, at least if you're my age, I'm almost 40, we didn't... Nobody talked about self-love or told us we should love ourselves or gave us that kind of experience. So the map that we had was that we're always supposed to do for others, always give all of these things. And then you get to a place where you're older and nothing's going right in your life because you have no self-love, so you got to change that map and give them a new complete and accurate map with self-love in it. We can change our internal map, we can change our lives, and we can create a new one and thereby change our entire experience of life. So when we're work with perceptual viewpoints and you're looking at the way that we work and so you have all these different ways of changing people's perceptions or looking at perception. I hope you got a real clear idea of what perception is, what blueprint, what your map is, and how we can go in and make a difference with that. And I'm going to leave you with the four different perceptual viewpoints that you can use to elicit change through your client. The first one is the viewpoint of within oneself. So the first place that you ever want to take a client is into understanding, knowing, integrating within oneself, the actual, and I call it... Sometimes I call the victim's story. Get them into a place where they're really the victim of their story again, like really say, okay, this is how it happened, it vows me, these are all the challenges, this is what's going on, and so you really step them into this viewpoint for themselves and understand where they're at. The second perceptual viewpoint is that of the other. So I call the persecutor of viewpoint. And the persecutor can be, I mean, if you were in abusive relationship, the persecutor would be the person abusing you. If you have cancer, the persecutor is the cancer. If you have an experience where, you know, you're going to fight with your best friend, your best friend is the persecutor. So you step out of literally and I use quantum mechanics as I actually have my client step into the other person, have them move forward and step in and put their heart space and their body into that, and in their mind into that person. From the perspective of the persecutor, what was that persecutor or that person really thinking? What were they doing? Were they really trying to be malicious? What was their intent, their highest intention, the love that they were actually trying to show? What was that? And step into that. That's the second position. Very powerful position to step into to create transformation and change in your client. When you can see something from someone else's viewpoint about a situation that happened it will change them. The third is what I call the higher self or the universe. Whatever that is that higher aspect for yourself, you want to step into a place where you're looking down at the event that the transaction, the peace between the two, the victim and the persecutor, like look at what's really going on in that situation? What's really happening? The higher perspective come as the witness detached so that you don't have, you're not standing in your own crap around it, you're not standing in the persecutor's story around it, but you're standing in the neutral observer and you're looking at it and saying, "Oh, now I can see what the real high intention is. What is the aspect of this? What's going on?" And you step into that. And then the fourth position when you once you've gotten a higher perspective, step into what I call the masterpiece perspective. And this goes back to those five pivotal stories. What are the lessons? So you're taking all of what you learned from those other three pieces and you're applying them into a masterpiece, into a message. The lessons that you learned that you can then apply to your life and these lessons are the lessons that your client will end up seeing for themselves that they will then take action and apply into their own life to create healing. So when you create that masterpiece perception and see that all of those other things were just part of your soul's guidance and purpose in this lifetime is going to change everything, and that is what actually creates true transformation for your client as you're working with them.
