This tutorial will show you how to locate article databases by name;
locate article databases by subject; and make an informed choice about which article database to use.
There are two primary ways to access article databases.
You can navigate directly to an article database that you know by name,
or you can search for one by the subject it covers.
Either way, you start by setting this search to Databases.
If you know the name of the article database you need, type it into the search box.
Then click the article database’s name to select it from the list of results.
To choose an article database that suits the subject you are researching, click the Browse by Subject link.
Then, choose a subject area that fits your research question.
Note that each subject lists many relevant article databases within.
For more detail about what types of article each individual article database contains,
click the “i” button next to its name.
Here’s that information for JSTOR.
You can scroll down to see even more.
Remember: Use the databases search to locate article databases.
If you know the name of the article database, you can search for it directly.
