so you know how people roll their ankles the outside of the ankle is what gets injured the most
so the atfl prevents this kind of inversion usually happens when there is fast paced movement like when somebody pushes you
you body weight is over the center of gravity and your ankle is not strong enough to stabilize it, it just falls over
the ankle that is meant to restrict the joints gets spread out and the ligament tears
usually what happens immediately after is swelling and inflammation and of course you have a lot of pain, tenderness and when you touch it is quite warm, quite red
but these are all good things as the healing comes from the inflammation so you need it
you should be refraining from high speed movements, from using the ankle to much
walking, stairs, all that should be minimal
cause you movement gets rid of the swelling and that is the most important part if not you will feel very stiff
