♪♫♪♫............[Music playing] With the number of people that are using on stage monitor mix systems and in-ear monitor mixer systems in the church market, the number of on stage wedge monitors is becoming less and less. And that's a great thing because you get less sound on the platform. And it makes for a cleaner mix. However for the vocalist out front, we're still using a lot of wedges. And so, you're looking for a nice, small, compact, clean and clear wedge monitor. And the new MX Series from Community might just fit that bill. Comes in an 8-inch version & then a 10-inch version, which I'll show you in just a second here. Now the difference here and what makes them so compact and small...You can see I can lift this thing, you can see the relative size is very compact, is that they're a co-ax monitor. What the "co-ax" means is you've got an 8-inch or 10-inch woofer, and then inside at the center, there's your high-frequnecy driver. It gives you 2 things: the compact size, but also excellent mid-range sound. Because the sound wave is emanating both at the low frequencies and the high frequencies, from the center. That means that you get a nice wide coverage, because you reduce the amount of interference between a high-frequency driver which is located off to the side and a low-frequency driver which is separated from it. So the co-ax gives you, at the crossover frequency, smooth coverage...and you've got about 120 degree wide coverage here as well. So you can run 2 or 3 singers off of 1 monitor. Where a lot of wedge monitors are designed for rock and roll, very narrow coverage. So the MX Series, the MX8 and the MX10, might be a great choice for front-of-house use. You can see how compact they are. They come...the Neutrik NL connectors on the back. Pretty standard these days. And the nice thing, you can see how they've sloped the back off like this so that the NL connector that goes in...will not hit on the floor. So you can go ahead and put that on the floor. I'll show you the relative size difference here. Here's the MX8. Here's the MX10, still very compact as well. That's the Community MX Series MX8 and MX10 floor wedge coaxial monitors. ♪♫♪♫.................[Music playing]

The rapid adoption of in-ear monitors amony live performers has reduced the number of on stage monitors being used. For the most part this is a good thing because it produces cleaner sound and opens up space on stage. Still, many vocalists prefer to use on stage wedge monitors. Follow Ron Simonson, CEO of CCI Solutions, as he discusses the Community MX Series Stage Monitor Series.
