... so you've just heard one of my colleagues ... ... the Québec-Trois-Rivières area has no female pilot ... ... but the Trois-Rivières-Montréal area has two female pilots : Mrs. Sophie Pitre, who we've just heard and Mrs. Manon Turcotte. The Québec-Les Escoumins area also has a female pilot and uh ... ... I actually forgot her name. I think her name is Guylaine something... but I can't remember her name, to be honest. But uh, there are three female pilots on the Saint-Lawrence. Ok. Actually, the woman that pilots between Québec and Les Escoumins is Ghislaine Aubin, not Guylaine. So, this is Québec with the, the, the Québec Bridge that's located right here. So this is our landing point, the station, and uh... we get off right in front of the city, just a little past the Château Frontenac. Next, we go here. We are on the main route through the Cap-Santé passage. And this is where we can use the bathroom because it's on the way when we don't have to meet a boat. When we do not have to meet a boat, it gives us time to go to the bathroom or fill out our forms. Earlier, I was talking about the electronic forms...uh...but that's still being tested. It only serves as a reference...we still use paper forms. So, now I'm going to look for...uh...the form for...that we have to fill out during the long crossing of Cap-Santé. Earlier, I was telling you about the old-fashioned dredging was all modernized when they added the North passage. So, the old method of...of...completing...confirmed the role of the pilot. The form is done. The captain is going to sign it before I disembark, and then... uh... That's who is able to confirm the pilot did his job. Ah, the weather is nice. I like to go outside ... it makes me well awake with all this fresh air. When the sky is ... when the sky is ... is all clear like that so we can see all its stars, well uh ... ... I always have a thought for my mother who died ten years ago. She never had uh ... she never had the chance to embark on a ship ****avec moi****. But, I had ... we've had the chance to, to, to make a few trips uh ... on uh ... the Camille-Marcoux ferry when I was the captain*. She had, she had appreciated her time with uh ... my father Gaston uh ... My father went, for example, a couple times uh ... as a pilot*. *********** and uh ... the fact that ... my father lives two hours away from the closest station, which is Trois-Rivières. Sometimes it makes things difficult to organize*, but uh he's been three or four times with me on the ship and every time uh ... I'm having a good time. Recently, I've brought my sons, and uh ... I brought my older one two or three times with me and uh ... I brought Joaquin for the first time ** We went through a complete trip, from ******* to the docks of Quebec City uh ... Joachim really appreciated it. We had a Filipino crew with a really friendly captain... He'd sent one of his officers to give Joachim a complete tour of the ship. So, he's got pictures with the cooks in the kitchen, the mechanics in the engine room, the sailors on the bridge... So uh ... he had ... he had a lot of fun and uh ... I think he might just be waiting for the next occasion to come back. Pacifique, well he's just a bit too young, he's 8. So, we'll have to wait a few years before... ... we're gonna be able to bring Pacifique on a trip... on a ship on the Saint-Lawrence river. My wife has never come here, right. But, she had navigated before ... Before we knew each other, we ... I met Évelyne at the Institut Maritime du Québec... ... when I was in my final year, she was just beginning. But, at that moment, she used to think that I had an excessively serious personality ... ... she preferred staying with someone less serious, and ... a few years later... two years later, she realized that ... ... she was missing the whole point so ... she ... she reconsidered and so we're together. since, uh... 1994. September 1994. I was on a ship, and... Évelyne sent me a letter just after I left the docks, and uh ... I received the letter only uh ... like three weeks later when we arrived in Martinique and then uh ... in her letter uh ... she told me that ... if I was okay with it, that she was ready to give it a shot with me. Then she sent me... a kind of stuffed lion that roars when you squeeze it. So uh ... it happened uh ... ... if I'm not mistaken, on September 28th, then we've had seen each other on December 2nd, when I, when I disembarked. So uh ... there'd been two months and ... two months more or less where we'd been together, uh..vicariously. Hm ? (Inaudible Radio Traffic) Good morning sir, we are going down Sainte-Croix. It's going to be 12:40 am, for Saint-Nicolas. Zero, zero, four, zero. Received. Thank you. So, without traffic, I want to say that we will not meet any boats for...the next, least the next hour.
