Shi Scott A Real Take on Bullying

Hi, it's Shi. A young girl asked me to make a video because she's being bullied. And I really don't know how to help. But.. At least I can tell you how I know the world to be. And maybe something will resonate. When I was younger... In fact, from the first moment I can really ever recall my consciousness, I understood the world to be very, very sick. And I understood humans to be very sick. I wasn't proud of my species, I wasn't proud of the world that I lived in. In fact, I hated the world that I lived in. And I had to make the conscious decision to be something other than what I'd known. So, in order to do that, I had to understand. I had to understand the things that I was looking at, the things that I was seeing. And I don't think I found what I was looking for, but if there is one thing I've learned, it's that humans, when they look at you, they don't actually see you. And when they speak to you, they're not speaking for you. They only see the reflection of themselves against you. And often, someone will look at you, and you will amplify the things that they hate in themselves. All you are is a mirror. It had nothing to do with you. It never will. And the only thing that I can really say to you to help, that hasn't been said a million times before, is to really look at them. Stop for a second and really see them. Look them in the eyes, and understand that a human being, who has nothing else but to look at someone else and belittle them, has nothing at all. See that in their eyes. Separate yourself. And for those of you who have found yourself to be the bully, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
