Hello, we are here in BBC radio London.
We are in the interviews of Eusebio and Gustavo.
Today we're going to travel to the past, and interview Ada Lovelace.
Oh, you catch me drinking coffee!
Sorry, sorry, but now we have to interview you.
OK, I am all set.
Hello, I am Ada Lovelace, and I am the first computer programmer.
Hello, Ada. We have prepared some questions for you.
Yes, when were you born, and where?
I was born in 1815 in London, and…today it's my birthday!
Oh, happy birthday! -Thanks
Now we carry on with the questions.
When did you start to be famous?
I started to know mathematicians when I was a teenager,
and a very intelligent person called Babbage,
and I helped him to invent the analytical engine.
And what is the analytical engine?
It is an appliance used for doing additions in a few seconds.
How does it work?
It reads the punching letters in the card.
Oh, it's not very difficult.
Yes, it IS difficult.
OK, now we're going to talk about your life.
So what happened with your father?
When I was 1 year old, my father left the country.
And what about the disease that you had when you were a teenager?
Oh, my disease! It was a problem for me, because I couldn't go to school.
But I had teachers at home to learn maths.
And now we know that you are married,
and you have three children.
Yes, I am married to William King,
and together we have three children.
And this is all of my life.
Now we have to return to the present.
Bye -Bye
