Hello people
I want to talk to you about
covid-19 vaccine okey the one
developed by University of Oxford
together
with AstraZeneca USA company
alright
recently they published the
results for the so the overall
efficacy
of the vaccine an these
the number was 70% now compared
to the other two
with numbers in the region of 90%
95%
these look bad however
it turns out they made a mistake
with about 3000
people volunteers and because they
gave to this people
a lower dose regime of the vaccine
so basically
they gave the same amount of liquid
but there was
less amount of vaccine in the
liquid was
diluted so this was a mistake
but it turns out that when you
do that in the first does and then
you give the full amount
of the second it looks like the
overall efficacy
rises from 70% to around 90%
now taking
into account that this vaccine is
cheaper than
the other two is in the region of
two three euros rather
twenty or whatever and that it
can be stored in fritters
alright at fridge temperature
around 8 degrees positive
rather minus 20 minus 80 so of
course this meant
that all these two characters make
this vaccine much better
so the only problem would be the
lower efficacy but
if it turns out that the
overall efficacy is actually
in the region of 90% then that's
really good so
it looks like they're going to
make new trials now but then
of course some people are saying
they're making new ones is
because they didn't do it all
right the first time and so on
so it's tricky
