Yoshi's Woolly World (Nintendo Direct JP)

Next is the follow-up report for the Yarn Yoshi game, Yoshi's Woolly World. In this game, besides the green Yoshi, there are not only Yoshi with different colors, but Yoshi with various patterns that never existed until now. For example, there is the colorful Candyfloss Yoshi, the snow world's Alpine Yoshi, the cow pattern Moo Moo Yoshi, and the Piranha Plant-like Naval Piranha Yoshi. By the way, do you know what pattern this Yoshi is? That's right. It's the Famicom Yoshi. Over fifty types of Yoshi appear in the game, so you can play as whichever Yoshi you like. However, they are not all available at the start. In fact, these Yoshi were transformed into Wonder Wool by the Magikoopa Kamek's magic. In order to rescue them, you must find and collect these Wonder Wool. If you gather all five Wonder Wool hidden in each course, the Yoshi will return to their original form, and you can play as any Yoshi that you save. That being said, in order to find all the Wonder Wool in every course, you're going to need certain skills in the game. In times like those, I recommend using a Power Badge. When you use a Power Badge, you gain the ability to use a special power. For example, there are badges that power up Yoshi, where you can do a stronger Ground Pound, make all your yarn balls bigger, and raise your strength. There are also Power Badges that let you play alongside Poochy, a familiar character in the Yoshi series, and even make hidden items visible. Using these badges can make exploring much easier, but you need Beads to use them. Please gather Beads, use Power Badges, and save your Yoshi friends without leaving a single one behind. I have one more announcement. As you just saw, if you touch a Mario amiibo to the Wii U Gamepad, you unlock a Mario pattern Yoshi. If you touch a Link amiibo, you change into and can play as a Link pattern Yoshi. For those of you that own amiibo, try to find out what kind of Yoshi patterns you can get. Yoshi's Woolly World will be released on July 16th. The game and the Green Yarn Yoshi amiibo will be released as a set. The Yoshi's Woolly World amiibo set and the Green, Pink, and Light Blue Yarn Yoshi amiibos will be released on the same day.
