The Self-Driving Network™ Episode 3_ Motivations copy

If you ask me why we would
like a self-driving network,
I would say that
there's several imperatives.
There's the economic imperative:
that everyone says
networking is very expensive.
At the same time,
it's absolutely essential. . .
The other part of this
is the agility
or the competitiveness challenge.
How do I run my network but
I'm able to bring up new services
or do new things with the network
in a much quicker way than today,
so that I can be relevant,
so that I can be competitive?
How do I do this
in a way that's manageable,
that's operationally feasible?
And the last thing is
the security imperative.
If somebody's attacking my network,
I want to find out very quickly.
I want to be able to analyze this,
figure out how to defend it, mitigate it
and know that I've actually
defended it successfully.
