As I got off the train this morning to come to the filming for Thy Kingdom Come,
a lady stopped me who thought she knew me;
we didn’t know each other,
but she was a local GP,
and she discovered that lots of women in her Practice
can’t read the prescriptions that are given,
so therefore can’t read the instructions.
She wanted help from the church.
I was able to direct her to someone who could give her that advice and help.
That lady now became one of my 5 to pray for.
She has a story to tell.
I don’t know if she was a Christian lady,
but she is a GP in the community.
So I will be praying for her
in the next few weeks as she tries to help
people in her community to read,
so that they can know the instructions that she gives them on the prescriptions.
That way, that means that I can pray for her,
pray for the women that she sees day by day.
But Thy Kingdom Come is about encouraging
those stories that all of us know when we’ve prayed ourselves,
but also when we’ve offered to pray with others.
So I would encourage you;
listen to the stories,
tell the stories,
of Thy Kingdom Come.
