>> In this video, you will learn how to use the keyboard
on the AARP
RealPad Android tablet.
The keyboard is a part
of the touch screen.
The keyboard appears
when you need to type.
The layout of the keys
may look familiar to you.
The space bar
is in its usual place
at the bottom of the keyboard.
The X symbol in the top right of the keyboard
is used to backspace or delete text.
Because of the screen size,
all of the keys cannot be shown at once.
Tap the ?123 key
to access the numbers keyboard.
Here, you'll find all of the numbers
as well as a few of the more commonly used symbols.
Tap the symbols key
to access additional symbols.
Tap the ABC to return
to the letters keyboard.
Arrows facing upwards
are located on both sides
of the keyboard.
Tap either up arrow
before typing a letter
to capitalize the letter.
The first word
of each sentence
will automatically
be capitalized.
Double tap one
of these arrows
to turn on Caps Lock
to type in all capital letters.
To turn Caps Lock off,
tap either of the arrows.
As you type, words will appear
at the top of the keyboard.
This feature is called predictive text.
because the keyboard
tries to predict your next word
as you type it.
If the keyboard guesses correctly,
tap the word at the top
of the keyboard.
Sometimes,
if you misspell a word,
the keyboard will correct it.
This is called Auto Correct.
Words that the keyboard will correct
are underlined in blue.
Keep practicing, and you'll be on your way
to learning to type on the AARP RealPad tablet.
