The first step is, as always, to prepare the required materials.
For this project, you will require paper, a pair of scissors, a pencil, some cotton,
two sheets of fabric with different colours, and sewing tools.
To begin, draw the figure that you would like your plush's main body to be in.
In this case, we will draw an elephant.
Using the drawing as a guideline, etch the design onto one of the sheets.
Making sure that you have two layers of fabric, cut the design out.
The two cut outs will serve as the main body of the plush.
Ensure that the two cut outs are of the exact same shape and size.
Repeat these same steps for the elephant's ears, using four total layers of the remaining fabric.
Begin sewing two cutouts together to form one of the ears.
Upon reaching a point, stuff and fill the ear with cotton. Use a stick to simplify the process.
Once the ear is full with cotton, sew the remaining portions together to complete it.
Repeat the same process to form the second ear.
Cut around the edges of the ear, cutting excess thread off.
Repeat this process a third time with the elephant sheets to form the main part of your plush.
For the last step of the tutorial, attach a button to the elephant as its eye.
Congratulations! You've made your very own elephant plush.
