Eccentric Circles: Training Video. These are the white eccentric circle cards We are going to use these cards to help you gain the feeling of turning your eyes in. Make sure that you are holding the eccentric circle cards about 40cm away from your eyes. If you are having any trouble, have a grown up help you measure this distance. Make sure that you are holding the cards so that the A's at the bottom of each card are side by side. It is also important to make sure that one circle is not higher than the other. Now let's begin. Slowly turn your eyes in towards your nose, until you notice the 2 circles become 3. As you turn your eyes in, this is an example of what you will see. You will see 2 sets of circles become 3. Now that you are able to see 3 sets of circles we have 2 goals. The first goal is to keep the letters inside the middle circle clear and single. The second goal is to notice that the smaller middle circle appears to float away from you. Now we are going to make the eccentric circles more challenging. We will do this by moving the cards apart from each other. Slowly move the cards apart while still looking at that middle circle. Keep the letters clear and notice the smaller middle circle floating away from you. If any of the goals are missing bring the cards closer together and start again. Continue practicing so that you are able to bring the cards farther apart from each other. If you are having trouble keeping the letters inside the middle circle clear, look at the letter L and trace it with your eyes. Trace every point on the letter L until it becomes clear. Once it becomes clear move on to the next letter. Keep doing this until all letters are clear. If you are having trouble moving your eyes in towards your nose to see the 3 sets of circles, here's a neat trick. Grab a pen and hold it so that the pen tip is in the middle of the 2 circles. Only looking at the pen tip, slowly begin to move it in towards your nose until you notice the 2 circles bcome 4. Keep looking only at the pen tip and move it closer until you notice only 3 circles. At this point stop moving the pen. Now that you are able to notice the 3 sets of circles, slowly bring your attention from the pen tip to that middle circle. If the middle circle stays there, great job! If the middle circle disappears and you only see the 2 circles, bring your attention back to the pen tip. Slowly move your attention back to the middle circle until the middle circle stays there. Keep doing this, looking from the pen tip to that middle circle, until the middle circle stays there. Remember this feeling of turning your eyes in. Keep practicing this until you are able to do this without the help of the pen. This is how your eyes look like while training with the eccentric circles. Notice how your eyes are moving in.
