Ollie Bray’s presentation at the 2009 K-12 on-line conference on the use of commercially available computer games as a contextual hub for learning and to provide an opportunity for social interaction for children as they move between primary (elementary) school to secondary (high) school.

After an initial introduction and background a detailed case study is provided of a project using the game Guitar Hero in East Lothian, Scotland. The project has since been scaled up and replicated many times globally.
