Hello people
I want to talk to you about...
COVID-19 vaccine
The one developed
by University of Oxford
together with AstraZeneca
Recently they published the results...
so the overall efficacy of the vaccine
And the number was 70%
Now, compare to the other two
with numbers in the midst of 90-95%
This look bad
However, it turns down that made a mistake
With about 300 people volunteers
Because they gave to these people
allow a those regimens of the vaccine
So basically, they gave the same amount of liquid
But there was less amount of vaccine
in the liquid, it was diluted
So... this was a mistake
But it turns up
That when you do
that in the first dose
And then you give
the full of mound of the second
It looks like: the overall efficacy
rises from 70% to a 90%
Now, taking into account
That this vaccine is cheaper
than the other two
It is in the rate of 2-3 euros
rather than 20 whatever
And that it can be stored
in fridges, at fridge temperature
Around eight degrees positive rather
than minus twenty or minus eighty
So, of course that all this two characteristics
make this vaccine much better
So the only problem
would be the lower efficacy
But, if it turns out...
And the overall efficacy
is actually in the midst of 90%
Then that's really good
So it's look like they are going
to make new trails now
But then of course some people are saying nah...
If they are making new ones is
because...
they didn't do right the
first time and so one...
So it's tricky
