C8L12: Swinging Forehand Volleys

In this the last lesson of the month we talk about the swinging volley. This is a great shot to really practice this idea of slowness. You want
to start small at the 45 and then expand slowly out to the periphery right you want to get as far out as you can while staying round. The
way to do that is to move slowly because you want as much leverage on the swinging volley as possible but you want consistency in the
shot so you can't swing fast. You want to start small at the 45 and then get out as far away as you can away from you at the 45 degree
angle at contact. Its the idea of slowly expanding so you can be very precise out at the 45 degree angle. This is a great drill to do free
standing like Warren is doing now, or have then stand on an 8 board and feed them swinging volleys works very well there as well.
This really emphasizes the idea of slowness and incremental movements as you go into the hit. Practice this swinging volley
and when they get good at right handed ones try a left handed swinging volley.
