Hi everybody. I'm Norma Vega. I am from the Los Angeles area.
and I am here in North Carolina on my first Disaster Relief Operation
supporting the flooding in North Carolina
I am so proud of the work that we're doing here and the Red Cross
and I'm extremely proud of the work we're doing
reaching out to the Latino community here, especially the spanish speaking folks
who have been having a hard time accessing resources
Yesterday we had a great opportunity to work with the community in Benson
this is a mobile park home that most of the people are displaced
we are going to be able to put them in a shelter
and we've been able to work with them
and it's just been such a beautiful partnership with the community, with the church
and I am just very grateful and honoured to be here and be able to help them.
Here in North Carolina we have been working with families
that need a lot of help and who have come to the Red Cross seeking help. We have been here to help them out.
Good afternoon. We are here in Benson, North Carolina.
We are in a situation where a hurricane went through the area
flooding and damaging the parking lots.
Most of the trailers are now useless and we are hoping that people want to help us.
We want to give thanks to the Red Cross.
