Stuck in Sweden

Hello! It is July 13th, 2018.
I am in...
Sweden.
I...
am in Sweden because...
Well, I was visiting but I was also here to
renew my visa.
I'm now experiencing some issues,
some delays.
Ah, so I'm stuck,
in Sweden, and I have no idea
when I'll go back.
Because I was supposed to leave on July 5th,
it is now - like I said - July 13th.
So...
Clearly not going back anytime soon.
I...
was a little disappointed at first
Um...
but honestly,
the f*©# am I gonna do?
So yeah, I'm stuck in Sweden indefinitely,
which is not terrible because Sweden is beautiful this time of year.
I'm in my hometown, Uppsala.
Um... there's so much history here,
there's so much to see.
I love the river, Fyrisån, that runs through the city.
Domkyrkan, which is the church.
I've really taken a lot of things for granted,
growing up in such a beautiful city,
such a beautiful country.
I'm currently in my studio apartment.
I'm staying over at my parents' house which is like twenty minutes away,
a twenty minut walk.
And so, I've been coming here every day because, um...
I have this gig coming up in Japan,
and so, I have some songs to learn.
So I've been coming here,
and I've been practicing.
There's no internet here.
So I've definitely had the time to like truly focus.
I've had moments of like...
letting loose.
Because I have a whole lot of alone time.
And...
But yeah.
You know.
I've had a whole lot of alone time,
I've had a lot of time to think about stuff and,
really reflect over how grateful I am to be...
alive.
You know.
Like it's, this visa thing is...
sucks.
But it's not the worst thing that could happen, obviously.
So I'm, I'm really...
not making a big deal out of it.
It's uncomfortable,
to not know
when I'm going back but,
it's really just giving me an opportunity to
be...
present.
And practice patience, and...
I'm really just trying to make the most of it.
By the way, this is
henna.
Well.
There's not much left of it but,
some people get freaked out because it's like,
it looks like a,
they think I have some sort of skin disease.
But it's henna.
Because I went to Morocco, check it out!
Really enjoyed the time there.
I got some time to interview my dad
about his story, like his travels from Morocco to...
Sweden.
And um...
It was really great.
I'm gonna go practice now.
Thank you for watching!
Bye!
