Transcript for Power of Common Sense: Peer Review in Science Questioned

Time Content
00:14 → 00:20

as reported by the 'bell fast' telegraph: Scientist reverse aging process

00:21 → 00:24

a verge reverse aging has been discovered

00:24 → 00:29

which allows 'withered' muscle to rebuild itself, by turning back a biological 'clock'

00:29 → 00:35

the effect has already been demonstrated, on human muscle tissue in the laboratory

00:35 → 00:37

Scientists in the US. believe the breakthrough

00:38 → 00:42

could lead to 'new treatments' that rejuvenate and strengthen aging bodies

00:42 → 00:45

or combat, to generative diseases

00:45 → 00:50

their findings also underline, the importance of staying 'active', for older people

00:50 → 00:53

Since this reduce, age related muscle lost

00:55 → 00:59

what 'practical' value, does money and time 'spent' on ways

00:59 → 01:02

to reverse the aging process have?

01:02 → 01:08

when at this very moment, millions of people exist in poverty without 'food'

01:08 → 01:09

to nourish themselves

01:10 → 01:14

what 'practical value' does money and time spend on prolong the Lifes

01:14 → 01:17

of the 'elderly' of the world 'have'?

01:17 → 01:23

when at this very moment, 'children' are sick, and dying of malnutrition, and famine

01:24 → 01:30

Why is it that 'poverty', starvation, circumstances of desperation and misery

01:30 → 01:32

experienced by human beings

01:32 → 01:36

is 'accepted', and not given priority attention?

01:37 → 01:40

why has a solution 'not been found', to the suffering and death

01:40 → 01:45

of millions of human beings, that occurs at this very moment

01:46 → 01:51

Why is, 'combating' the aging process, and retaining a youthful body and appearance

01:51 → 01:58

giving 'funding' and attention, as a priority area of scientific research, and development

01:59 → 02:04

who is 'reviewing' such research? who is proving the funds?

02:04 → 02:07

No doubt, those who would want to prolong their own Life

02:08 → 02:12

does not the acceptance of such area of research, and development

02:12 → 02:17

as having 'priority', over the end of 'starvation', and death of millions of children

02:17 → 02:22

revealed that the majority of the scientific community, is not considering

02:22 → 02:25

the 'betterment', and wellbeing of humanity

02:25 → 02:28

Despite! it claims to be doing so

02:29 → 02:34

Does it not revealed, that the majority of the scientific community, is programmed

02:34 → 02:40

not to see 'common sense', and consider what actually 'requires' our attention in this reality

02:40 → 02:44

what actually requires 'a solution', above all else

02:46 → 02:47

does it not also revealed

02:47 → 02:52

that the majority of 'human beings' are 'programmed', not to see common sense

02:52 → 02:58

and do not regard, the major problems of humanity, as 'priority concerns'

03:02 → 03:05

Peer review is part of the problem

03:06 → 03:10

it is common sense, that funding and support should be given

03:10 → 03:14

to those areas of research and development, which exist within the starting point

03:14 → 03:18

of establishing and implementing 'solutions', for the betterment of Life

03:18 → 03:21

for all human beings 'equally'

03:21 → 03:27

In this, the primary problems of starvation, 'lack', non-access to electricity

03:27 → 03:31

health care and education, should be given 'absolute priority'

03:31 → 03:35

within the considerations, of those who are 'reviewing'

03:35 → 03:41

and deciding the 'value', and attention, given to proposed scientific research and development

03:42 → 03:45

because it is 'common sense', that until humanity as a whole

03:45 → 03:51

sorts out its equilibrium, and 'correct' the current design of the world system -

03:51 → 03:56

which is inequality, self-interest, and 'disregard' for the suffering of the 'many'

03:56 → 04:01

in favor of giving attention, to the 'wants' and 'desires' of the few with 'money'

04:01 → 04:07

that 'any claim' by science, to exist with the betterment and wellbeing of humanity

04:07 → 04:10

is a dishonest, and delusional statement

04:11 → 04:14

however it is 'seen' that peer review

04:14 → 04:18

which 'should', be undertaken by a community of human beings as 'peers'

04:18 → 04:23

equal in the consideration, of what 'best' supports humanity, 'as a whole'

04:23 → 04:29

in common 'sense', not influenced or limited, by personal motives, self-definitions

04:29 → 04:34

a pre-defined knowledge base, desires, beliefs or opinions

04:34 → 04:38

it's rather undertaken, by a group of people existing within 'the same'

04:38 → 04:41

or similar knowledge base, and ideology

04:41 → 04:45

as those, submitting their ideas and research for review

04:46 → 04:49

yet within a definition of peer review, it is stated:

04:49 → 04:52

that a community of experts in a given 'field - is required'

04:52 → 04:56

who are qualified, to perform an impartial review

04:57 → 04:59

the only impartiality evident

04:59 → 05:04

is the impartiality towards, what in common 'sense', should be considered

05:04 → 05:10

within a 'review' of any 'proposed' area of scientific research, funding and development

05:11 → 05:12

which is what actually is considering

05:12 → 05:17

'a solution' to the priority problems of humanity, at this moment

05:18 → 05:19

it is evident

05:19 → 05:24

that human beings are 'programmed', to accept science and scientists

05:24 → 05:29

to exist, apart from the rest, within their own bubble of 'superiority' as knowledge

05:30 → 05:32

and that the majority of human beings

05:32 → 05:37

do not take it upon themselves, to evaluate the starting point of science

05:37 → 05:39

within seeing, what actually considers

05:39 → 05:44

'the betterment' of the Lifes of all humanity as 'a whole', as equals

05:45 → 05:47

this reveals, that human beings

05:47 → 05:51

do not take it upon themselves, to evaluate their own starting point

05:52 → 05:57

and that all exist, within the consideration of only their own, 'personal-interests'

05:58 → 06:02

and it is also evident, in the nature of the majority of scientific 'research'

06:02 → 06:08

that within a scientific community, the common sense evaluation of one's starting point

06:08 → 06:11

within considering, if the research being participated in

06:11 → 06:18

Actually is 'relevant', to the points in this world that require attention, is neglected

06:19 → 06:23

What is needed is a 'community', a group of people

06:23 → 06:27

that take it upon themselves to evaluate, and purify their own starting point

06:27 → 06:30

through self-honesty and common 'sense'

06:30 → 06:37

and to evaluate the starting point of 'actions' taken by all the major institutions of this world

06:37 → 06:43

within the consideration, of what actually supports the 'wellbeing', of all humanity

06:44 → 06:49

what is needed, is a group of people willing to develop 'common sense' in all ways

06:49 → 06:52

and to take the action required to 'spread awareness' -

06:52 → 06:56

that there exist a monstrous 'waste' of resources and 'money'

06:56 → 07:00

within the 'pursuit' of research and development, in areas of science

07:00 → 07:02

and other institutions

07:02 → 07:05

resources and 'money', that could be used

07:05 → 07:10

to achieve an 'equal' quality, and standard of Life, for all humanity

07:11 → 07:17

It's time to wake up from the delusion of belief, that 'science' is here for the benefit of humanity

07:17 → 07:22

It's time to ask the question: Where is the voice of the people?

07:23 → 07:27

and isn't that the people's "duty"? isn't it "our" duty?

07:27 → 07:32

to 'be the voice' of those in this world, who are not able 'to have a voice'
