Transcript for Candidate Free Air Time: 2008 Randy Kuhl--Incumbent

In 2004 and 2006, my constituents voted for me

because they know that I am a lifelong resident of the Southern Tier

who has the experience and the conviction to represent

their interests in Congress. They know that I care about

protecting their jobs and lowering their taxes,

and keeping our homeland safe from attacks and fear,

and ensuring that their government doesn't control their lives.

Over the next few weeks, you will hear the differences between me and my

opponent. That is what this election is all about.

Differences. We all have seen the outside special

interest groups already that are pouring money into

this race and mass producing lies about my record and my positions.

My opponent supports speaker Nancy Pelosi's

tax plan that will kill 60,000 jobs in New York alone

and hike your taxes by $3,200 a year.

He also supports a plan to socialize health care that

will increase taxes by another $1,200 for every

American, so that illegal immigrants can receive

health care benefits. He also supports the philosophies

of a "do nothing" Congress. A "do nothing" Congress

that did nothing to address illegal immigration. Did nothing to lower the price of

gasoline or health care costs. And did

nothing to balance our federal budget. Our country needs solutions

to our nation's problems and these are not Republican

or Democrat problems, but American problems.

I've co-sponsored and voted on legislation to increase

economic opportunities that create jobs,

introduced legislation to fully fund our veterans' health care and

ensure that they have educational opportunities.

I've introduced legislation to get rid of our dependence on foreign oil,

and achieve energy independence. But we still

have work to do to make this country better and stronger.

We need to secure jobs and guarantee that your children

and grandchildren will have employment opportunities. We need to lower your taxes,

so you can keep more of your hard earned money. We need to bring our

men and women home from battle victoriously. And

we must balance our federal budget without tax increases.

for the last two years and I ask for your continued support.
