Hi. My name is Joe Robach.
And I've had the privilege of representing you in the state Senate.
Throughout my time in office, I've been about results, not rhetoric.
I am a reformer. I've challenged the status quo in Albany.
I've partnered with Attorney General Cuomo to create more transparency in state government.
I have enacted real budget reform.
I've worked with both parties to get Rochester what we need and desire.
I've been out in the public, I've listened to the people of our community, and I've responded.
Some to the things that we have accomplished together include:
A historic school aid increase for students in Rochester, Brighton, Greece and the Hilton School Districts.
An unprecedented local aid increase for the City of Rochester, which helped
to avoid dramatic rise in proper taxes.
Millions of dollars of funding for R.I.T, the University of Rochester, Nazareth College and our SUNY schools.
Truancy Programs, the Summer of Opportunity Program and the after school programing that helps our kids stay in school and out of trouble.
A property tax rebate in the star program to help ease the burden on our local residents.
Additionally, I've recently partnered with Governor Paterson to do even more tax relief.
Unlike my opponent, I don't believe in negative campaigning.
I never have, and I never will.
I believe my record of service speaks for itself.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you in the New York State Senate.
I will continue to work hard for you. I will listen and I will deliver.
I pledge to you that I will continue to seek positive change.
