In October 2009, Rob Jensen , a TWB member and a biology science teacher at Hellgate High School in Missoula, MT, developed and implemented a series of inquiry-based classroom science activities to determine the efficacy of hand and mouth washing. His students developed the testing procedures, during which they transferred bacteria from their hands and mouths to agar plates in different time intervals to determine the correct length of washing time.
