On that video you saw I travelled in my homeland where I was born. I travelled where my father lived. There is a big sacred arzhan spring water. For head, eyes healing. Healing arzhan water. That arzhan heals 40 diseases.These are my words about. Near of that arzhan there are there are stones. Places where people heal themselves. A plate-like stone above the arzhan it is a very ancient land, thousand years old. Thousand years old land. It originated when the Earth was created. That's why it is a very sacred land. I explained this to my colleague Maya. I have colleagues like Maya. Young people like Slava and Valera. Spiritual leaders. In Ortolyk there is an old lady who is my mentor. All of them are kams (shamans) with drums. They also work with us, expalin where and what. About ancient times and how ancient people lived. Where sacred sites are. They share this. We have sacred mountains, arzhans healing arzhans. There are a lot of them. These arzhans are sacred for us. We have mineral waters as well. In the forests we have medicinal plants. Healing herbs we have. Nowadays people in Altai have less knowledge than in old times. Now younger generation is reviving this knowledge. Awakening the past, understanding the old asking from kams (shamans), the elders. We have to revive all this. Altai people and our jaizangs (nobles) when joined to Russia, they just asked about two things. They asked two questions in their letter. 'For a period of 60 years you should not bring alcohol and tobacco to Altai'. The only things they asked. It happened when we joined to the Russia. Hardly passed 60 years then when the Russian Tsar started destructions and repressions. Many shamans were killed. My great-grandfather from mother side was a strong kam (shaman). He had seven drums. Two more and many other kams (shamans) were gathered and burned in a closed building, one kam flew away through smoke place, one went through the fire but that man stood in the fire. When fire stopped he remained not burned with his drums. He stood up with his drums. There was such case. A lot of people was killed this way. Praying people were killed while conducted ceremonies. A lot of believing, praying people were killed. That's why the Altai population decreased. When I was 2 years old my mother died. I heard all these stries from my uncle. From my mother side. My father died when he was 74 at 1991. My mother died when I was 2. My father never talked about my mother life. He did not know her life. My mother's brother, my uncle talked about this. A lot of people from us lived separately. A lot rich people breed cattle. Their cattle was confiscated. They were accused being rich and repressed. The same destiny had kams (shamans). They were captured in prisons. Kams (shamans), leaders were also rich people. They were accused as rich and prisoned as well. There is another story about another person. I do not know about him properly. He was a kam (shaman). The story was told by people. That kam When he was taken for prison and locked in a room by soldiers, but he was walking in the street. He turned out to be in the street. They imprisoned him again but he outside and was walking outside again. There were such people. A lot of people were killed in 1937. People were driven away, enforced them to join the Soviet Power. Young and children were killed terribly as well. Families by families they drove people to the North. They drove families... There are only 70,000 Altai people left now. The terrotory of Altai used to be very big. The place was very large. Starting from the Ob River. Now Altai is very small. Only mountainous places they call as the Republic of Altai. About the Telengit people. They've preserved ancient Altai traditions, drums. They still have jaryks (shamans). That people they still have all these. It is my Motherland where I grew up, in Ere Chui (Sacred Chui). Ere (sacred) Chui. We are people who suffered much. In Ere Chui valley our Ere Chui people didn’t join the Soviet Power. They didn't obey Ak Khan (Russian Tsar), escaped in mauntain taiga. That's how they were hiding themselves and survived. Living this way they at last they joined. To Ak Khan (Russian Tsar). Because we fought with Mongolians and Chinese. Because of it we joined. It is a high altitude steppe area (about Chui valley). Little forests on the mountains. Wetlands available there. Steppes with sands. In summer it is very hot there and cold in winter. I would like to talk a lillte about work I do. I am among people fulfil mission of kam (shaman). I do a lot of work. Arzhan (healing) kutuk (mineral) spring waters I clean in my life. Among our sacred sites in Ere Chui there is the Ukok Plateau. At that very Ukok land in 1993 in autumn Polosmyak, a Novosibirsk a scientist, archaeologist found, excavated the Princess and brought her away. She brought her to the museum. When the Princess was excavated, when she was there, the Princess kurgan was dug. People excavated her and saw she was frozen, covered with ice. Frozen in a wooden tomb. She was frozen there but when they excavated her, they wanted to unfreeze her quickly. Therefore heated up water and poured hot water on her. It was not allowed to do. It started decaying and was spoiled. A lot of people died at that place. That location is called Dzhazator. People from there who participated in the excavation. People who saw all this. They lost their hair. Problems with their hair appeared. They had sore hands and legs. A lot of people died after that. When she, her sacred body was excavated. Nowadays in Altai the Ukok Princess was not an Altaian. They try to prove it. But the Altai people used to be tall people with bright faces, with different appearance people. With different appearance. Later we mixed with the Mongolian and Chinese people. Mixed much and our people lost its original appearance. But still in the Ere Chui valley for instance my uncle who died recently. His children are different, may be resemble to pure Altai people. Something resemble to pure Altaians they have in the appearance. May we lost our originality. When the Ukok Princess was brought away many people died. We had an earthquake there. Everywhere different disasters happened. People are suffering strongly. When once I was working, the spirit of the Ukok Princess came to me. She came to me. She gave me 2 years to gather all people. To return her back to Altai. Then for 2 years I was thinking what to do. And I began to collect signatures. I collected 5000 signatures. By that time, Lapshin was the head of our Republic. I gave him copies, to Putin as well I gave the copies of signatures. I also made statements. Apeals in newspapers. I brought them to Rimma Mikhailovna, the director of the museum. I talked to her and said that it is desirable to bring her to the museum. Later after bringing her to the museum, it is necessary to prepare, gather people and it is necessary to bury her in her place. Otherwise disasters will not stop in Altai.
