Ever since I was a little kid I was always told not to take things for granted.
To never assume anything and appreciate everything.
Like liberty, liberty is a gift, that all humans should have
or the freedom of speech a power we should all be given.
But there's one human right that is more important than all others.
It's so basic, it's almost a given, we forget about it.
But that's The Right to Live.
Now humans are a pretty resilient folk and we don't need to many things to keep us alive.
You know sometimes I pretend that I can't live without my television or cell phone.
But all kidding aside. We can't live without water.
We use water to clean, to prevent disease.
To grow food and crops.
We also use it to ingest.
But the truth is, not everybody has clean and safe water to drink.
Over one billion men, women and children don't have access to safe water.
And that leads to an unhealthy life.
It boggles my mind because 71 percent of the world is covered with water
I know most of that is salt water
But what I'm saying is, there's enough water for all of us
We just need a little bit of resources and money to convert it.
But where are we putting our money instead.
Bottled Water. Bottled water is a sixty billion dollar industry.
Were commercializing a basic human right. And that's not okay.
Everyone has the right to live. Everyone has the right to water.
