Transcript for Seeds of Compassion

As one of the 6 billion human beings,

I always have a serious concern

about the future of humanity

because I feel that it is everybody's responsibility because we are one of them.

If the six billion human beings are happy, we individuals,

certainly will have happy life.

If the six billion human beings are facing more crises

then, one individual, no matter how sort of successful the individual,

eventually will suffer.

So, I always believe the

happy life in the individual level,

or family level, or community level, or national or global level

is ultimately, very much, related with warm heartedness or compassion.

And the compassion, usually I describe, infinite compassion,

unlimited compassion, unbiased compassion.

That seed, from birth, everybody has that seed.

So, I heard some of my close friends, long time friends,

they really talk very seriously about these things,

and they finally draw up a plan

for a meaningful meeting or gathering in Seattle,

I think called "The Seeds of Compassion,"

is planting hope for future children, and our world.

So, I like to insert "for the world."

Now, I really feel now the coming conference really can

plant a positive seed for happy future, happy world

to millions of people, particularly among children, the younger generation.

The younger generation is the real basis of our hope.

My generation, usually I describe generation, belongs to the 20th century.

Now, we've created a lot of problems yet to solve.

Now you, the younger generation, the generation of the 21st century,

now you have a great task to solve these problems.

Now you are the real generation in which our hope is put. Thank you.
