Reinhard Schaler introduces The Rosetta Foundatioin
The Rosetta foundation is one of the most exiting projects
that I have been involved
in my professional career
And I've been involved in localisation for
approximately 20 - 25 years
It's so exiting because it aims to bring information
digital content, knowledge and education
to the three quarters of the rest population
who currently don’t have access to it
because they don’t represent a market
to the large digital content providers
The Rosetta Foundation was launched this year in the summer
at Agis, The Action for Global Information Sharing
at the University of Limerick
by Professor Don Barry, the president of University of Limerick
And it is a not-for-profit organisation
that is going to be run along the lines
of social entrepreneurship to bring initiatives
people and communities together to collectively translate
and adapt and localise digital content for people
who are currently don’t have access to it
