Hi, I'm Dan Maffei. Upstate New York has always been central to who I am.
And I'm ready to fight and move our economy in a new direction.
I'm excited about what can be done to turn this region around.
I know our challenges, but I also know our great potential.
There are going to be changes in Washington in November. And we have to be ready to take advantage of those changes.
I will bring a whole new approach to our dealing with problems and the politician who have been running things here for the past twenty years.
I have a plan that will stop exporting jobs under policies like NAFTA.
get our economy moving by investing in new energy technologies,
create new jobs and help attract young people back to the region.
I'm committed to health care reform, to lower our costs and provide coverage for all Americans.
And I'll be a leader in encouraging alternative energy sources, and green-collar jobs in Upstate New York.
Now, my opponent is a nice guy. But he's been in one office, or another, for more than twenty years.
And he's always been a party line politician. He's never came up with any new ideas or innovations on his own.
This is a turning point for the region and the country.
And I think we new people and new leaders with new ideas who will take a fresh look at the challenges we face.
When I'm elected to Congress, I will hit the ground running.
And work relentlessly to enact a change we need here in Upstate New York and in America.
