My name is Maria Russia I came from I am from clan of Tolos Six-cornered Kin Altai I am from I have came to this land and I like this land People of this land They welcome people warmly They are good people At this going seminar... I like this seminar People has started a very good work This work should be continued further People should unite and protect Mother Earth, I think it is good I am happy with their words and I want to help from the Altai people We, Altai people want help to this process I think we are all alike Does not matter what we do differently I think it is the same belief Why I think so The same fire place The same wooden house of this people Food is a little different, their language is different But all other things are similar. The words they say about how to protect Land and their way of praying Having harvest and food in autumn they thank and pray in autumn They also pray in spring. We have the same It is all the same. The dances they danced I liked We have not such dances but we have more peaceful, calm songs that we sing. This people have a little different More quicker rhythm songs they sing. I liked this very much. All people are similar, the same. It is a fact and I liked this much. Generally we have lived very well here. There was nothing to worry. People showed their own tradtions and how they welcome other people. Therefore I felt very calm and welcomed here. The reason I came for... My name is Danil I am from the Karakol valley. From Altai. My clan is Todosh. The main reason I am here for is probably that here indigenous people gathered. They share their realtions with Mother Earth and how they protect it. We are the same, doing the same. We are here to cooperate and to understand similarities. We are here to see, to understand what is good and what is bad. We want to learn new ways for conservation and protection. It is firstly, and the second thing is to find new friends. Because in Russia we we have not much funds working for tradtional cultures. Mostly majority of them are foreign funds and therefore the second reason was to cooperate with such foundations. And the third wish is that all indigenous peoples of the world are uniting and I am here to undestand this process as well. How strongly they've united. What is a place and mission for us inside of this. What we can contribute to this process. What is our work that we are leading now. What new we will bring to this partnership to nourish it What useful we will bring to this and how we can use this. We have come here with such position. As flora and fauna, actually by profession I am geographer. When I was studing I learned about. I learned about this land, I've had a general impression of this continent. Now I can see in practice what I've learned. Finding from memories, seeing things I think. At the same time I'm thinking from the point of view of tradtional culture. There are many issues that every culture contains in itself. We talked yeasterday about. Every culture reflects its natural environment. Culture contains an element for hamonization. For harmonization with Nature. That's why way of life of this people I see here, their songs and traditions are important. Although they are different from us because of environments. Two different environments and cultures But core meaning of them are the same. Closely related. Because everything is closely related to Nature. That I want to say. Very natural and true thing, as Maria said, these rhythmic songs of the people is connected to rich and big biodiversity here. It is a big interralated richness. Firstly the African continent is big by itself. And it is an ancient culture. For a long time it has been preserved. That's why Culture here is a reflection of Nature. Pure reflection of pure nature. It is from one side. And from another side Africa is a hot continent. May be it is a spring time. But it is good here. There is not hot as films show. Not terribly hot. Not as people talk that one can't stand it. There is nothing about it. I like this. It is different from what we have learned. It is different from peoples' talk. What you see and practise is different what you hear and learn from others. It is better to travel to such lands and see yourself. When you see and feel it is different. It is a best way to understand other people lives. You have to see and practise yourself.
