The Rosetta Foundation is one of the most exciting projects
that I have been involved in
in my professional career
and I have been involved in localisation for
approximately 20, 25 years.
It’s so exciting because it aims
to bring information, digital content, knowledge and education
to the three quarters of the world’s population
who currently don’t have access to it,
because they don’t represent the market
to the large digital content providers.
The Rosetta Foundation was launched this year
in the summer at AGIS,
the Action for Global Information Sharing,
at the University of Limerick by Professor Don Barry,
the President of the University of Limerick,
and it is a not-for-profit organisation
that is going to be run along the lines
of social entrepreneurship
to bring initiatives, people, and communities together
to collectively translate and adapt
and localise digital content
for people who are currently not…
don’t have access to it.
