- The Rosetta Foundation is one of the most exciting projects
- that I have been involved in
- in my professional career
- and I have been involved in localisation for
- approximately 20, 25 years.
- It’s so exciting because it aims
- to bring information, digital content, knowledge and education
- to the three quarters of the world’s population
- who currently don’t have access to it,
- because they don’t represent the market
- to the large digital content providers.
- The Rosetta Foundation was launched this year
- in the summer at AGIS,
- the Action for Global Information Sharing,
- at the University of Limerick by Professor Don Barry,
- the President of the University of Limerick,
- and it is a not-for-profit organisation
- that is going to be run along the lines
- of social entrepreneurship
- to bring initiatives, people, and communities together
- to collectively translate and adapt
- and localise digital content
- for people who are currently not…
- don’t have access to it.
