00:05 → 00:10

Hello everyone. Welcome to SLOODLE newsroom.

00:10 → 00:14

My name is Paul Preibisch in the real world and Fire Centaur in Second Life.

00:14 → 00:19

Today I want to show you a really cool tool that you can connect

00:19 → 00:22

to your Moodle learning management system website.

00:22 → 00:26

Are you looking for a way to spice up the classroom

00:26 → 00:29

and make your weekly quizzes a fun-filled activity?

00:29 → 00:34

Are your students bored with all the work they have to do just to stay on top?

00:34 → 00:38

Well look no more. Have a seat on the SLOODLE quiz chair.

00:38 → 00:41

Once connected to the SLOODLE website

00:41 → 00:45

your Quiz Chair will download multiple-choice quizzes...

00:45 → 00:47

and send your students soaring.

00:47 → 00:53

By answering questions, the chair will go up or down depending on their answers. (Sound of rising tones)

00:53 → 00:58

Your students could even have races in Second Life to see who will soar higher.

00:58 → 01:02

The great news is: while all the fun is taking place,

01:02 → 01:06

the Quiz Chair automatically stores quiz results in the Moodle database...

01:06 → 01:10

...and in your gradebook system. So, why not give it a try?

01:10 → 01:14

See this in SLOODLE 0.4.

01:15 → 01:19

Now let's see how this tool works...

01:19 → 01:26

Just sit on a chair, click on it, and the menu will come up with a multiple-choice question.

01:26 → 01:31

Question #1: Can SLOODLE be used with Open Sim?

01:31 → 01:34

Answer #1: Yes. Answer #2: No.

01:34 → 01:39

Answer #3: Yes, but it is still being tested.

01:39 → 01:46

I will press one of these answers and move on. (Rising tones) Oh! Look at this! I got it right!

01:46 → 01:49

Let's look at the next question.

01:49 → 01:50

How many tools are in the SLOODLE set?

01:50 → 01:53

Possible answers:

01:53 → 01:57

14 tools, 13 tools, 15 tools, 5 tools...

01:57 → 02:00

I'm going to answer "14 tools." (Rising tones)

02:00 → 02:02

The answer is correct!

02:02 → 02:06

That is amazing. I am having fun.

02:07 → 02:15

Meet me in the SLOODLE classes to learn more.

02:19 → 02:27
